A selection of handy scripts that run in photoshop to quickly batch process images ready for upload.
1. Download the scripts package you will find the SIMLAB_toolbox.zip in your download folder. Double click to extract the files.
2. To install:
Mac : "Macintosh HD/Applications/[Adobe Photoshop Version]/Presets/Scripts"
PC:
Go to: "C:\Program Files\Adobe\[Adobe Photoshop Version]\Presets\Scripts"
3. Copy the scripts into the scripts' folder. You may need to enter your computer's user password to allow access.
4. Restart Photoshop application for the scripts to appear in Photoshop.
5. In Photoshop, go to File > Scripts > select the script you wish to use.
This Photoshop script lets you automatically batch crop a folder of images to a chosen image size. The image is then converted to sRGB colour space and saved as a new .jpg file, with the original filename amended with the crop size chosen.
Please Note: Depending on the aspect ratio of the original image and the crop size chosen in the script. The image maybe cropped to meet the print requirements. Please check all images prior to uploading to SIMLAB.
This script allows you to add a 1/4",1/2",1" or 2" white border to your image at your chosen image size. The file is also converted to sRGB profile and saved with your chosen size and border thickness as a .jpg with the size and border option added to the file name. To a chosen location on your computer.
e.g. 10x8" print with 1" border would result in an image size of 8x6 with 1" border and total image size of 10x8"
Please note: Depending on the aspect ratio and border size chosen in the script. Image cropping is highly likely to meet the image size requirements. Please check all images before uploading to SIMLAB.
A simple action that allows you to quickly convert a folder of images to the sRGB IEC 61966-2.1 colour space and save the file as a new file with the file amended with the _sRGB to a location on your computer.
A quick and easy way to batch convert images to black & white. The file is also converted to the sRGB colour space and saved as a new .jpg file with the filename amended with the _BW at the end of the filename to a chosen location on your computer.
